The alpine air is as crisp and clear as on my last visit, although we do seem to be spending a significant amount of time in front of the fire. I have seen more ice in champagne buckets then on mountain tops! I do confess, apres ski was always more enjoyable than trekking about snowy terrain (even if it was only from the chateau to the driveway). Thankfully we are surrounded by fur, which I do miss so very much… ladies these days so rarely bring out the chinchilla and mink, I have forgotten what a cozy snuggle they provide.
