A Sense of Arrival

A Sense of Arrival

It was just so lovely to be back at The Beverly Hills Hotel after all of these years!  I am relieved to discover that the glamourous decor is just as I remembered, and that the Christmas decorations in the lobby were elegant and tasteful. You just never know when one of those horrid faux snow trees might be on display!  I must admit, I giggled with glee as we strolled up the red carpet and into the lobby, I do love a gorgeous property!

Just as I was beginning to relax, the whirlwind began…

We dashed off to Rodeo and made our way from one end to another as though on a military exercise.  I don’t know what has gotten into ladies these days, she didn’t even pause for a cup of tea or a glass of Chablis. I find this modern way of shopping entirely uncivilized!

We proceeded on to Anastasia’s for a quick touch up and then on to my previous home, Decades. It was so comforting to get a cuddle from Eri and to visit all of my old friends.  The gowns were spectacular and we left with a whimsical chapeaux in it’s original Bergdorf’s box.

A bubble bath and wardrobe change and we were off to dine at Cecconi’s.  The aroma from the truffles took me back to late suppers on Capri as the Quintarelli swirled in the glass…
